In order to further expand the large-scale backlight and lighting production capacity, LED packaging Taiwan factory Dongbei (2499) will handle 15 million shares of cash increase and NT$1.5 billion convertible corporate bonds, which is expected to raise NT$2,234 million.

Dongbei spokesperson Weng Congzhi said that the provisional price of cash increase is 48.9 yuan per share, which is subscribed by the original shareholder according to the shareholding ratio, and the 1.5 billion convertible corporate bond will be introduced by strategic partners.

The market has spread, South Korea LG Group is interested in participating, while LG Group's LED business LGIT is also interested in increasing capital, it is understood that LGD has signed a confidentiality agreement with Dongbei, in the future, Dongbei may cross-share with LG Group.

In addition, the market believes that Taiyuan Jingdian (2448) and Yuyuan (3061) are likely to subscribe and become Dongbei's strategic partners.
