After the transformation, the capacity of the main transformer will be expanded from the original 31.5 megawatts to 50 megawatts. It is reported that in order to meet the peak of summer power consumption, the electric power industry has fully implemented a series of peak summer projects, and hundreds of backbone power grid and distribution network reconstruction projects are in progress. All projects will be completed by the end of June.

With the increasing of power load, expansion and conversion work is imminent. After this transformation, the capacity of the main transformer will be expanded from the original 31.5 MVA to 50 MVA, which can meet the demand for electricity in this area in the summer. In addition to the ongoing projects here, the only 220,000-volt transformer substation in Tong'an is also expanding a main transformer, and the No. 1 main transformer in Meishan Substation will also be expanded by the end of this year. Outside Tongan, 110,000 volts of Jiangtou substation and Xingnan substation in the main grid are all undergoing capacity expansion and reconstruction.
In the distribution network, there are as many as two or three hundred expansion projects. Especially for rural and urban village distribution network power supply long radius, the equipment is relatively old and other issues, the electricity sector also combed out the 220 peak summer reconstruction project, plans to complete the transformation in June.
