The multi-project network view provides an overview of all stations in a multiproject and the connection of these stations to individual subnets.
Cross-project subnets are only displayed in relevant parts of the view (for example, subnets). The name of the cross-project subnet displayed is the name of the subnet group.
Users can print a network view for multiple projects and download content from that view to all stations. However, you cannot edit or save the project in this view.
Requirements · This feature can only be launched from a project in a multiproject.
· All changes made to items in a multiproject must be saved. If necessary, the user will be prompted to perform a save operation.
· All projects in a multiproject must be accessible (this is related to distributed projects).
· Items in a multiproject must not be write protected (read only).
· It is not necessary to activate any connection status in an open project (the network view for multiprojects is intended to be launched from).
step
1. In the network view, select a project using the View > Multiproject-oriented Network View menu command.
After that, use a checkbox to activate the menu command.
2. Place the object as the user wishes. You can also print out a network view for multiple projects.
3. From this view, you can download content to all stations in the multiproject (command: plc > download...)
4. To return to the "normal" network view of the project, select the View > Multi-Project Network View menu command.
When the project is closed, all locations of the object are also automatically saved.
Properties of a multi-project-oriented network view · When a project calls this function for the first time, all objects are rearranged. The position of the object can be changed. If the network view for multiprojects is deactivated and it is called again in another project in the multiproject, the objects are displayed again in the same arrangement.
Features for multi-project network views, such as scaling factors, subnet length (shortened or not shortened), with or without DP slaves/IO devices, etc., are determined by the project that calls the multi-project network view.
· When the multi-project network view is activated, no changes can be made to the project. However, cross-project conformance testing can be triggered. Therefore, you cannot use the save command (Network > Save) in a multi-project oriented network view. If you have selected the Network > Save Compile menu command, you will only be able to compile the network configuration.
· In the network view for multiprojects, the configuration can be downloaded to all stations in the multiproject.
· Only one network view for multiprojects can be opened at a time. If another STEP 7 user attempts to launch a multi-project oriented network view from another project, the action will be cancelled and an error message will be displayed.
