Smart TV is making waves in the television industry. According to recent reports, Hisense has entered into a partnership with Amazon, marking a significant step forward in smart home integration. The company will introduce Amazon Alexa, the popular voice assistant, on its 4K smart TVs for the first time. More details about this collaboration are expected to be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2018 exhibition.
In 2018, Hisense plans to integrate Amazon’s Alexa into its range of 4K smart TVs, including both current models and the newly launched 100-inch 4K laser TV. This move represents a major shift in how users interact with their televisions. At next week’s CES, attendees can look forward to more information about the features and capabilities of these new devices.

This marks the first time that Hisense has integrated Alexa into its smart TV lineup. Given Amazon's strong presence in the voice assistant market, this partnership makes sense and was widely anticipated. Prior to CES 2018, Hisense announced the collaboration, stating that its 4K TVs would support Alexa, and even older models of the 100-inch 4K laser TV from last year will receive an Alexa update.
Hisense currently offers a variety of smart TVs, some running on Roku OS and others using its own smart TV platform. These models come preloaded with popular streaming services such as YouTube, Netflix, and Facebook. However, the Alexa integration is specifically designed for TVs running Hisense’s proprietary platform, not those powered by Roku.
With Alexa built-in, users can control the TV using voice commands, switch between input sources, adjust volume, and access streaming services like Amazon Music and Spotify. Beyond the TV itself, Alexa can serve as a central hub for smart home devices, allowing users to manage smart bulbs, thermostats, and more. In fact, in December last year, Hisense also introduced Alexa-enabled smart air conditioners and dehumidifiers in the U.S., enabling remote control of temperature and humidity settings. This expansion shows that Hisense is fully committed to integrating smart technology across its product line.
