After clicking Next, the design interface of the capture parameters is entered, as shown in Figure 4. The meaning of "capture" naturally refers to the data to be captured and observed. The parameter ISE here has been set up for intelligence in general, so there is no need to change it.

Here you need to connect the netlist in the design and the core of the Chipscope. Click “Modify ConnecTIons” in the figure to enter the connection interface, as shown in Figure 6 and Figure 7, respectively.

Figure 7 trigger / data signal settings interface
The clock in Figure 6 is the clock set by the system. Click clk_BUFGP in the Net Name on the left, and then click "Make ConnecTIons" on the bottom right to connect the clk_BUFGP to the clock signal in the Chipscope core. Here you can't directly connect the clk signal (port type) directly to the clock signal in the Chipscope core, otherwise Chipscope will report an error. The specific reason is not very well understood, but even in the ordinary FPGA design, it is not directly driven by clk, but must be buffered by clk_BUFGP, which is easy to see in the comprehensive netlist given by the integrated software. To.
Figure 7 shows the trigger/data signals that need to be observed. As the name suggests, it is okay to use the signal that needs to be observed with "Make ConnecTIons".
After completing the operations of Figures 6 and 7, click "OK" to return to the main interface of Chipscope. If there is an error or the settings are unreasonable, a warning or error message will be given in the Messages window of Chipscope. After error-free, click the Save button in the upper left corner of Chipscope, then close the Chipscope main interface and return to the ISE Project Navigator.
