Following the successful launch of the industry's first TE/TF_N isolated signal conditioning module, Jin Shengyang has introduced a range of modules that support millivolt and standard positive/negative signal inputs, as well as unipolar and bipolar signals, to meet diverse input/output requirements. The series includes four types of isolated signal conditioning modules, such as TEM_CN/AN and TE_CN/AN, offering reliable performance for various applications.

These modules utilize magnetoelectric isolation technology combined with an efficient DC-DC power supply module. Compared to traditional linear optocoupler solutions, they offer better temperature stability, improved linearity, and lower power consumption. This makes them ideal for precision applications where accuracy and reliability are critical.

The compact DIP18 package (26.0 × 9.5 × 12.5mm) is designed to meet the strict space constraints of modern instrument systems, simplifying integration and reducing the overall footprint on the PCB. This small size also helps in achieving more flexible system designs without compromising performance.

With a high isolation voltage of up to 2KVAC, these modules provide excellent protection against signal interference in industrial environments. The internal electromagnetic isolation technology ensures stable performance across a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), with a low temperature drift of 50PPM/°C, which is significantly better than conventional optocouplers.

The modules also feature a low ripple noise level of ≤35mVpp at a bandwidth of 20MHz, ensuring clean signal transmission and minimizing interference in sensitive analog circuits. This makes them suitable for applications where signal integrity is crucial, such as in data acquisition systems and control units.

They are highly resistant to electrostatic discharge (ESD), meeting the IEC/EN61000-4-2 Contact ±4KV Class B standard without requiring additional external components. This robustness allows them to operate reliably in harsh industrial environments.

Power consumption is kept very low, with a maximum of less than 1W, making these modules energy-efficient and ideal for use in systems where power savings are a priority.

These modules find applications in a wide range of industries, including inverters, instrumentation, RTUs, power monitoring cabinets, DCS systems, monitors, control boxes, transmitters, and data collectors. Their versatility and performance make them a valuable component in many automated and industrial control systems.

Application Reference:

This design uses point isolation to condition and isolate multiple signals through a series of signal conditioning modules, then routes them to the ADC via an analog multiplexer. By isolating each channel, it eliminates the impact of common-mode voltage and reduces crosstalk between channels. This approach provides comprehensive protection for both the back-end acquisition system and the field instruments connected to each channel.

The multi-channel analog acquisition system using this point-isolation scheme offers the highest level of reliability. It can eliminate the need for an isolation barrier in the pre-stage of the acquisition system, thereby reducing overall automation costs while maintaining performance and safety standards.
