Focusing on the construction of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone and the promotion of the province's sustainable development goals, Jiangxi Province has launched the “Twelve major ecological and economic projects” and construction of the UHV and smart grid projects is one of the “twelve major” projects. On January 11, Dajiang Net reporter learned from the Jiangxi Provincial Electric Power Company that the Jiangxi UHV power grid project is one of the components of the State Grid Corporation's “12th Five-Year” UHV grid plan. In 2011, Jiangxi Province will start the construction of some smart grid demonstration projects.

Open up access to renewable energy

The next ten years will be a critical period for Jiangxi to achieve scientific development, catch up, and the rise of greenery. It will also be a crucial period for Jiangxi Province to fully promote the construction of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone and realize a well-off society in an all-round way, and will continue to drive rapid growth in energy and electricity demand. . “Jiangxi is a province with primary energy shortages, lack of coal and water, lack of oil and gas, unreasonable energy structure, and declining energy self-sufficiency rate, which has brought about a series of problems such as energy security and ecological environment.” Director of Development Planning Department, Jiangxi Electric Power Company Wan Wei told reporters.

Dajiang Net reporter learned from the Jiangxi Provincial Electric Power Company that this year's electricity consumption gap in Jiangxi Province is about 1 million kilowatts, and must rely on outsourcing power to protect it. It is estimated that by 2013, the power gap will be between 3.9-5.5 million kilowatts. According to the current per capita installed capacity of 1 kilowatt in developed provinces, by 2025, the electricity load in Jiangxi will exceed 40 million kilowatts, and the contradiction between electricity supply and demand will become more prominent. The power sector built a strong smart grid featuring ultra-high voltage power grids. In 2012, the ultra-high voltage power transmission project in Jingmen-Wuhan-Nanchang was completed. In 2015, the Jidong-Xinyu DC UHV power transmission and transformation project was completed, which opened up the western coal-fired power station. The access routes to the hydropower and renewable energy bases have fundamentally eased the tight electricity supply situation in Jiangxi Province.

Jiangxi UHV power grid project is progressing in an orderly manner

It is reported that the Jiangxi UHV power grid project initially plans to build a 1 million kV UHV AC substation in Nanchang, 2 sets of 3 million kVA main transformers with a total capacity of 6 million kVA, and build a new Wuhan to Nanchang in Jiangxi Province. (Gangxi section) UHV AC line (same double back) 140 kilometers. It is estimated that the project will have a total investment of 2.9 billion yuan, and the transmission capacity will be equivalent to 6 million kilowatts of generating units.

At present, the State Grid Corporation of China is carrying out the preparatory work for the Nanchang UHV project, and Jiangxi Province will actively seek the support of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration to advance the UHV power grid construction in an orderly manner.

Jiangxi invests 45.4 billion yuan to build a strong smart grid

It is reported that the smart grid project in Jiangxi mainly includes intelligent projects in power generation, transmission, substation, power distribution, electricity use, and dispatch. The power department of Jiangxi Province combined with the actual situation of Jiangxi Power Grid, organized and completed the main network structure, distribution network, communication network and intelligent planning for the “12th Five-Year Plan” of Jiangxi Power Grid. According to the plan, during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the provincial power company will invest 44.5 billion yuan to build a strong smart grid. By 2015, the smart grid will reach a higher level, and key technologies and equipment will reach the domestic advanced level.

1000 users will enjoy "power fiber" this year

In 2011, it was the first year for the State Grid Corporation of China to start the smart grid construction in an all-round way. Jiangxi Electric Power Department will build a new intelligent community in Nanchang, and build a new electric vehicle replacement station in Jiujiang, Xinyu, Fuzhou and Luzhou, and build 500 charging piles in the province.

According to Wan Wei, power fiber to the home can provide broadband optical communication services, not only high communication speed, long communication distance, but also has obvious advantages in communication reliability, stability, anti-interference ability. While obtaining electricity supply, power users can not only conduct comprehensive information interaction with the power grid companies at any time, but also use the optical fiber to enjoy the Internet, watch high-definition video, distance education, and remote office services, which is convenient and affordable.
