Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Zhongshan Government and Guangdong Provincial Semiconductor Lighting Engineering and Research Innovation Alliance recently held in Guangdong Province in Guangdong LED lighting product benchmark index conference, the first local government issued a LED lighting product benchmark index released .
The “Guangdong Province LED Lighting Product Benchmarking Index†will formulate a unified test method for LED street lamps and conduct regular inspections on the products to obtain a dynamic index that represents the level of innovation in the LED lighting industry, namely the benchmark index, including the environment for lighting fixtures. The product was tested on 10 indicators such as temperature, horizontal illumination, vertical brightness, temperature cycling, and tide durability.
The LED lighting product benchmark index will be promoted in LED street lighting products of several green lighting demonstration cities in Guangdong Province. When the conditions are ripe, the benchmark index will be used as a guide to lead the research and formulation of local standards and national standards. At the same time, it will also strengthen the connection with the United States DOE Energy Star and other international standards research institutions, timely promotion of the benchmark index into the LED lights international certification system.
