1) Turn on the display. The screen will count down from [999999], then show [0.00]. This is the initial calibration step.
If [0.00] does not appear, press the [ZERO] key to reset the device and return it to zero.
2) Use tweezers to place the sample on the weighing platform. Make sure it is centered and stable.
3) When the stable indicator appears, press [ENTER]. The screen will show [SAVE-A], followed by [------], indicating that the weight of the sample in air is being recorded. Once the process is complete, the pointer will move to M, representing the weight in air.
4) Carefully remove the sample using tweezers, rinse it in alcohol, and place it on the hanging bar submerged in water. Wait for the stable symbol to appear, then press [ENTER]. The screen will display [****], followed by [SAVE-B], which means the weight in water is being stored. After this is done, the pointer will point to SG, showing the specific gravity value of the sample.
5) After you have recorded the necessary data, press [ENTER] to return to the test mode and proceed with the next sample.
