According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in order to promote the development of China's new energy automotive industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize the development of power battery development ideas, and it is expected to give strong support from industrial policies, financial subsidies, and tax incentives. According to industry sources, listed companies in the lithium battery industry chain will benefit from this.

The reporter learned from the relevant departments of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that according to the spirit of the special meeting on energy conservation and new energy vehicles recently convened by the State Council, the task of drawing up plans for the development of new energy vehicles and supporting policies has been clearly identified to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In order to do a good job of power battery industry management, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently convened upstream and downstream enterprises, scientific research institutions, held in Tianjin, "Power Battery Industry Development Symposium." The delegates proposed that we should make overall plans for the development of power batteries, define the development path, strengthen technological research and industry management, and prevent blind investment and redundant construction.

The delegates unanimously reflected that the development of the power battery industry is inseparable from the attention of the state and it is urgent for government agencies to give strong support from industrial policies, financial subsidies, and tax incentives.

Therefore, in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will, in conjunction with the handling of proposal proposals for power cars and batteries for representatives of the two committees this year, organize relevant experts to formulate the idea of power battery development as soon as possible, and effectively promote the development of the new energy automobile industry in China.

Industry sources pointed out that the new energy battery is divided into nickel-hydrogen battery and lithium battery. The former is mainly applied to hybrid vehicles, while the lower subsidies for hybrid vehicles will only exist as a transitional pattern. In the long run, the degree of benefit will be greatly reduced.

Hou Wentao, a researcher at Xiangcai Securities' new energy industry, told reporters, "Because it is suitable for use in electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles, lithium batteries will have more prospects than nickel-metal hydride batteries."

Hou Wentao said that with the breakthrough in battery technology and government support, the lithium battery industry chain will benefit in the long term. The industrial chain of lithium batteries is mainly composed of three parts: upstream lithium-ion resources, lithium battery raw materials, and battery manufacturing and packaging. In addition, companies that produce electronic control systems and complete vehicle companies with new energy vehicle production capabilities will all benefit.

The companies with the advantages of upstream lithium resources include Tibet Mining, CITIC Guoan and Luxiang. The companies with technological advantages in the middle reaches include Dangsheng Technology, which manufactures lithium cathode materials, and Fosugufen, which produces battery separators.

However, Qian Liangguo, director of the power lithium battery system working committee of the Beijing Power Supply Association, also pointed out that this industry is still in a stage of rapid development. Today's good technology may be eliminated by next year, and it is hard to say who is the most likely to be the industry leader.
