Terra Virtua, often referred to as "Netflix for VR," is set to revolutionize the way users access virtual reality content. The platform operates on a monthly subscription model, giving users access to a growing library of immersive VR and AR experiences, including games, interactive environments, and more. This new VR market is expected to launch later this year, offering an innovative way to enjoy digital entertainment. The company plans to release Terra Virtua in September, with a developer incubator program aimed at supporting studios in creating high-quality VR and AR content. Subscribers will have access to a wide range of content through a monthly fee, while special events will be available via a pay-per-view option. Additionally, the platform will integrate a cryptocurrency called the Terra Virtua Token (TVT), which will allow users to purchase in-game items, skins, and other digital assets. Before the official launch, early adopters can purchase TVT tokens to prepare for the platform’s release. The initial coin offering (ICO) will take place on March 26th next month, providing an opportunity for investors to get involved early. Developers will also benefit from the platform, as they can sell their games, events, and services directly within Terra Virtua, with dedicated spaces for their creations. Gary Bracey, CEO of Terra Virtua, has been in the gaming industry for over 35 years. He emphasized that despite years of discussion around VR, no major platform has successfully brought it into the mainstream. “It’s partly due to hardware challenges, but mainly because the experience hasn’t matched the appeal of traditional 2D games,” he said. “VR hasn’t been easy to play with friends, nor has it delivered enough value. We’re changing that with Terra Virtua.” Terra Virtua was first launched in 2016, with development focused on building a solid prototype. The platform will officially launch in September, followed by a beta version for developers. A Mixed Reality (MR) companion app is also planned, launching a month after the main platform. This app will serve as a virtual assistant, helping users explore and manage content on the Terra Virtua marketplace.
