New Breakthrough in Power Generation of the First Largest Low Speed ​​Wind Farm in Anhui Province

On that day, Anhui Longyuan Wind Farm, the largest low-speed wind farm in Anhui Province, accumulated more than 256 million kWh of electricity. The Anhui Longyuan Wind Farm is the largest low-speed wind power project in the province so far. The wind farm has 132 sets of 200,000 kilowatts of low-speed wind turbines independently developed in China and was officially connected to the grid in May 2011. Compared with thermal coal-fired power plants, the Anhui Longyuan low-speed wind farm can provide clean energy for about 223,000 households each year, which is equivalent to saving about 194,000 tons of standard coal and reducing the amount of sulfur dioxide produced by coal burning by about 4,900 tons.
