"2010-2011 Lighting Science and Technology Development Report" released

The 2011 China Association for Science and Technology Academic Development Conference organized by the China Association for Science and Technology was recently held at the China Science and Technology Hall in Beijing. Since 2006, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology has started the study of discipline development. It has organized 85 national associations to carry out research on the development of 85 related disciplines, and has completed the compilation and publication of research reports on discipline development for four consecutive years. In 2010, China Association for Science and Technology organized 22 national associations such as the China Illuminating Society. They combed, analyzed and summarized 22 disciplines such as lighting science and technology, and outlined the major achievements and development trends in these disciplines in recent years in China. To lay the foundation for the formulation of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for the related disciplines.

As one of the 22 institutes that undertook this discipline development research project, the China Illuminating Society has actively organized nearly 100 experts and scholars in the lighting field of various professional committees to study and write the "2010-2011 Lighting Science and Technology Discipline Development Report" (below Abbreviated "Report"). The Report consists of a comprehensive report and 9 special reports. The special reports include vision and color, light and radiation measurements, indoor lighting design, traffic lighting and light signals, outdoor and other lighting applications, photobiology and photochemistry. , image technology, lighting fixtures and electric light sources. The aim is to carry out a comprehensive study from the height of the entire lighting discipline, present the overall development context and development trend of the discipline, and summarize the latest research progress and major achievements in various fields of research in lighting disciplines in recent years.
