eFarnell has introduced the Arduino UNO Click Shield, an Atmel SAMA5D3 Xplained development board, and a range of Click Boards along with accessories. The SAMA5D3 Xplained is built around the ARM Cortex-A5-based SAMA5D36 microcontroller, offering a cost-effective solution for rapid prototyping and evaluation. The new accessories are compact and energy-efficient, making them ideal for integration into the development kit.
The Arduino UNO Click Shield can be easily mounted on the ATSAMA5D3-XPLD using a standard Arduino-compatible interface. It also features two microBUSTM ports, allowing users to connect any Click Board from MikroElectronika. These modular boards are designed for seamless expansion, enabling developers to quickly add functionality without complex setup.
This release includes four Click Boards: an ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter), Bluetooth module, SHT11 environmental sensor, and a thermocouple board. Each one is plug-and-play, eliminating the need for hardware configuration and simplifying the process of extending the capabilities of the main development board.
Additionally, a WiFi USB adapter and an LCD8000 display interface board are available. The LCD8000 comes with an 18-bit touch screen that supports a resolution of 480x272, enhancing user interaction and visual output.
eFarnell has also introduced Micrium’s μC/Probe™, a Windows-based tool that allows users to interact with embedded systems in real time. With both basic and professional versions, it enables memory mapping and control through graphical interfaces, improving development efficiency.
