2015 OPPO mobile phone sales reached 50 million units

Netease Technology News, January 25 — Today, OPPO Vice President shared some key figures about the company's performance in 2015. According to the information released, OPPO achieved a total of 50 million units in actual sales for that year, with the R7 series alone selling over 15 million units. This highlights the strong market demand for OPPO's flagship models. Wu Qiang, an executive from OPPO, mentioned during a recent event that according to data from the Sino Research Report, OPPO ranked first in market share for devices priced between 2,000 and 3,000 yuan in 2015. The company’s annual sales reached 50 million units, while the flagship models contributed significantly to this success, with over 150 million units sold. It is also worth noting that most of OPPO’s sales came from offline channels. At a previous terminal industry conference hosted by China Telecom, Wu Qiang stated that the era of e-commerce-driven growth has passed, and the single-channel model is no longer sustainable. He emphasized that a diversified approach combining both online and offline channels is the future direction for the mobile device market. Additionally, in 2015, OPPO submitted more invention patent applications than Huawei, ranking second only to ZTE. This shows the company's growing focus on innovation and technological development.
