Top Victory, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taiwan's TPV, announced that it will build a 10th generation LCD panel factory in Nanjing with a 35 billion yuan joint venture with Continental Electronics Information Holdings Panda to produce panels, filters and LCD modules. It is reported that the investment plan will be the first 10 generation panel factory in mainland China to produce large and large size LCD monitors.
It is understood that Top Victory will acquire a 0.8% stake in the joint venture company, Panda LCD holds 99.2% and has the right to operate. TPV pointed out that large-size and large-size LCD monitors will supply mainland large-screen TVs. Local procurement can save import tariffs and enhance the competitiveness of the global market.
