[PConline News] AMD's Ryzen processors have shown strong performance, and the product lineup is now largely in place. Moving forward, many users are eagerly anticipating the next generation of APUs. This new release will feature a cutting-edge manufacturing process, an updated CPU architecture based on Zen, and a revolutionary GPU design. According to AMD, the next-generation APU is expected to launch in the fourth quarter, with the Zen architecture making its way into the CPU for the first time.
According to a recently leaked roadmap, the next-generation APU, known as Raven Ridge, is set to be released in 2018. It will integrate up to four Zen CPU cores with eight threads, paired with a Vega-based GPU featuring 11 compute units and 704 stream processors. The desktop version will continue to use the AM4 socket. An upgraded version called Picasso is expected in 2019, maintaining similar architecture and specs but focusing on improved power efficiency and continuing the AM4 interface.
A recently surfaced AMD official slide suggests that the company is planning to introduce a new generation of APUs tailored for business laptops. Both the Zen CPU and Vega GPU architectures will be integrated onto a single die, with a special focus on extending battery life and improving overall performance.
The Ryzen 5 Pro Mobile series was also featured in the slides. Benchmark tests showed it outperforming the Kaby Lake Core i5 significantly, especially in multi-threaded tasks. It clearly has at least four cores and eight threads, surpassing the older A12 APU by a wide margin. In 3DMark 11 tests, it performed better than the A12, suggesting around 512 stream processors—192 fewer than the desktop version, likely to manage power consumption more effectively. Its idle power consumption is much lower than the A12, nearly matching that of the i5, which is a big improvement.
AMD had previously confirmed that the mobile version of the Ryzen Pro would launch in the first half of 2018. However, some devices like the Lenovo ThinkPad A475/A275 are expected to arrive earlier this year, giving consumers a chance to experience the new technology sooner.
Amorphous Iron Core For Peak Suppressor
Anyang Kayo amorphous Technology Co.,
Ltd., founded in 2011 with a registered capital of RMB 5 million that is
a technology-based manufacture. We specialize in the production of
nano&amorphous iron core and amorphous&Nano Ribbon, CT, electric
component(including comon mode choke coil, Filter Inductance, high
frequency transformer,etc.).Our
main products are amorphous and nanocrystalline iron cores which are
widely used in communication, house appliances, electric power,
automobile, new energy and other fields.
Our company's peak suppressor amorphous beads have a very large inductance when the current is zero, which can effectively block the reverse reset current generated by the diode. This material can be saturated at a very small current that can be widely used to the switching power, frequency converter and so on.
