3. Control of diesel generator sets
Commonly used units should generally be considered to be able to be connected in parallel to simplify the main wiring of the distribution, so that when the generator unit is started and stopped for rotation, the vehicle is transferred, the load is transferred, and the unit is switched without interrupting the power supply. The unit should be equipped with an organic group of measurement and control devices. The unit's speed regulation and excitation adjustment device should be applied in parallel with the fish. For the backup generator set with important load supply, the automatic diesel generator set should be selected to be able to start automatically and restore the power supply to the important load after the external power supply is cut off. When the diesel engine is running, the engine room is very noisy, and the automatic unit can be easily converted into a generator set that is operated by the compartment and automatically monitored. When the generator set is in normal operation, the operator does not have to enter the diesel engine room, and the diesel generator set can be monitored in the control room.
4. Determination of the number of diesel generator sets
The number of common diesel generator sets is usually set to 2 or more to ensure the continuity of the power supply of the diesel generator and to adapt to changes in the load curve. If the number of units is large, the number of units that are put into the generator set can be determined according to the change of the power load, so that the diesel engine is often operated under economic load to reduce the fuel consumption rate and reduce the power generation cost. The best economic operating state of the diesel engine is between 75% and 90% of the rated power. In order to ensure the continuity of the power supply, the common unit itself should consider setting up the standby unit. When the unit is in trouble-shooting or shutdown inspection, the generator set can still meet the uninterrupted continuous power supply to the important power load.
