In the spring of this year, Google once demonstrated at the Developer Conference that the Android Auto version can run entirely on Android phones without a new car or third-party car hardware. And now, this version is finally officially released for Android mobile phone users.
The new Android Auto app provides a completely simplified, easy-to-use interface that makes it easy for users to use while driving. It also limits the number of notifications that users can see, while introducing the ability to read text messages and use voice to reply.
The new version of Android Auto will display only four icons at the bottom of the screen: Map, Phone, Voice Listening, and Home Page. At the top of the screen is a menu tab and microphone icon. Even without tapping the bottom icon, Android Auto automatically displays a series of cards at run time, such as music controls, weather information, missed calls, and destination navigation.
Google said that the upgraded Android Auto can also support all previous applications (more than 500 models), which means that users can still use popular apps such as Whatsapp, Spotify, and Pandora as usual.
The new version of Android Auto is completely free. It will be released in 30 countries and will support all mobile phones running Android 5.0 or above.
In the "Always On" mode, Android Auto applications generate a low power consumption, which can be seen as one of its drawbacks. It is also worth noting that the app currently does not support voice control by saying "OK Google", but Google promises that the feature will be added in the future.

This year, there are more than 200 models that support Android Auto, and there are many on-board monitors that provide support for it.
