Zarlink today announced the expansion of its voice processing product line with a highly integrated, flexible and programmable hands-free communication system solution. The ZLTM38004 voice processing platform and embedded firmware provide measurable sound quality improvements in noisy environments. This integrated solution meets the requirements of reduced development time and reduced board space.The ZL38004 speech processing platform is a complete solution that integrates a dual channel codec, Zarlink's speech processor engine for acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction applications, and a hands-free car kit (ZLS38500) and speakers (ZLS38501) Full firmware support. The new platform helps designers deal with complex noise conditions such as echo, background noise and ambiguous speech that have plagued hands-free communication systems.
