In view of the actual conditions of China's small and medium-sized hydropower stations and the country’s industrial policies, Eastern Indah offers a specialized automation solution for small and medium-sized hydropower stations. The program is a computer monitoring system integrating data acquisition and processing, sequence control, AVC, AGC, automatic quasi-synchronization and many other functions. The system is based on computers, PLCs, and IDC425 field control stations developed by our company. Network and field bus technology, information sharing and relatively independent between the functional units, optimizing the system structure, greatly reducing the investment costs. The system is based on the design goal of “no one is on duty and few people are on duty”. It adheres to the principles of safety, reliability, economy, advanced and practical design, and has become the best choice for the automation and reconstruction of small and medium-sized hydropower stations.

The monitoring system adopts a fully distributed structure and is divided into a station control layer and a local control layer. The local control unit (LCU) can be operated independently from the station control layer and complies with ministry standard DL/T578-1995 "Hydropower plant computer monitoring system. Basic Technical Conditions, DL/T5065-1996 "Design Regulations for Hydroelectric Power Plant Computer Monitoring System" and SL229-2000 "Automatic Design Regulations for Small Hydroelectric Power Station".

The system consists of the following parts: Station control layer host computer (operator workstation, engineer workstation); communication processor; local control unit; local area communication network; clock synchronization device; Chinese voice alarm device; uninterrupted power supply; printing equipment Analog signal return screen or large screen projector; remote monitoring terminal; wide area communication computer; operator console.

The system completes hydro turbines, generators, excitation systems, governors, circuit breakers, butterfly valves, hydraulic devices, air compression systems, oil sump pumps, water collection wells, drainage pumps, roof drain pumps, cooling water systems, and cooling Water filter meter drain valve and water supply valve, shaft seal cooling water filter, brake valve, vacuum cleaner and heater, automatic quasi-synchronization and other equipment are programmed to realize automatic start-up of hydro-generator unit and grid-connected power generation. The automatic control and adjustment functions such as phase adjustment and shutdown can realize the automatic and manual operation of all control equipments of the unit through the upper computer and the console.
